STATEMENT
The JKBC is dedicated to promoting and enhancing two-way trade and investment, and economic cooperation and understanding, between the business communities of Japan and Kurdistan Region in Iraq, and to improve the political relations between Japan and Kurdistan Region in Iraq. The Council interacts with governments, non-governmental and intergovernmental organizations, as well as with the private sectors, in both Japan and Kurdistan Region.

The Japan-Kurdistan Business Council (JKBC) was established on February 01, 2010 and registered with both the Tokyo and Yokohama Legal Affairs Bureaus in Japan. The council is sanctioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice of Japan. The main objectives of JKBC are to foster international understanding and encourage overseas economic cooperation by engaging in activities that promote business, economic and political exchange between Japan and Kurdistan Region in Iraq. In order to achieve these objectives, JKBC shall undertake the following activities:
