STATEMENT
The JKBC is dedicated to promoting and enhancing two-way trade and investment, and economic cooperation and understanding, between the business communities of Japan and Kurdistan Region in Iraq, and to improve the political relations between Japan and Kurdistan Region in Iraq. The Council interacts with governments, non-governmental and intergovernmental organizations, as well as with the private sectors, in both Japan and Kurdistan Region.

The mission of JKBC is to promote bilateral, commercial and political relations between Japan and Kurdistan Region in Iraq. JKBC aims to foster, develop, and expand business ties between Japan and Kurdistan Region in Iraq by promoting trade and investment between the two sides and by making valuable information available to its members and providing them with consultation, advocacy and program services thereby benefiting both the Japanese and Iraqi economies. JKBC collaborates with Japanese, Kurdistan Regional Government agencies, business development authorities as well as with the private sector to enhance business opportunities and to provide a better perspective on and access to trade and investment opportunities in both markets. Furthermore, JKBC also aims to facilitate the introduction of Japanese member companies into the Kurdish markets in Iraq and vice versa, by providing, organizing and developing programs and activities to expand opportunities for business development for both groups. |
